How it Works

Start with work you already love

Every commission begins with three choices:

  • 2-3 of my pieces for inspiration, available or sold

  • A color palette that suits your space

  • A size for your wall

From there, I create a new original. It will feel related to the pieces you chose while becoming entirely its own.

Commissions are for collectors who love my style and want to see what I'll make for them. If you'd like help with size or color, send me photos of your room or show me on our video call.

Two Ways to Commission

Original Painting

  • A one-of-a-kind painting in acrylic and pastel on canvas.

    • Sizes from 18x24 up to 40x40 and 36x48

    • Standard 1.5" depth, or 2-3/8" gallery depth with painted edges, ready to hang

    • Varnished, signed on the front and back

    • Certificate of authenticity

    • 3-5 weeks to create (longer for pieces over 40"), plus shipping

    Choose your option:

    • Standard: your original, with the option for me to offer prints of it later. Starting at $2,600.

    • Exclusive: your painting is never reproduced as prints. Starting at $3,500.

Digital Art Print

A new digital artwork created just for you, printed as a fine-art print.

  • Sizes from 16x16

  • Museum-quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag, 308 gsm, 100% cotton matte paper

  • Archival pigment inks

  • Exclusive to you

  • Certificate of authenticity

  • 2-4 weeks to create, plus printing and shipping

The Process

How a commission comes together

  1. Share your idea. Fill out the form below. I'll review it and reply by email within [1-2 business days].

  2. Meet on video. We'll have a free 30-60 minute call on Google Meet to choose your inspiration pieces, palette, and size, and confirm your timeline and price. You're welcome to show me the room.

  3. Reserve your spot. A 75% deposit holds your place on my calendar. The deposit is non-refundable.

  4. I create your piece. I'll send you a photo when it's finished.

  5. Final payment and delivery. The remaining 25%, plus shipping, is due when your piece is complete. It ships or is delivered once paid.

The Details

  • I book commissions up to three months ahead. When my calendar is full, you can join the waitlist and be the first to know when new dates open.

  • For shipped pieces, reach out at least 6-8 weeks before your date. Local collectors may have a little more flexibility.

  • I ship worldwide. Paintings are carefully packed and arrive stretched and ready to hang. Prints ship directly from my fine-art print studio. Shipping and insurance are charged at cost, exactly what the carrier charges. Larger paintings may travel with a fine-art shipper. International collectors are responsible for any customs fees.

  • Within 20 miles of Bainbridge Island, I'd love to deliver your painting myself, unbox it with you, and help you hang it, free of charge. We'll schedule a time that works for both of us. A simple drop-off is also available.

  • Framing isn't included. The 2-3/8" gallery-depth canvas has painted edges and looks finished without a frame. For prints, a local framer can help you choose the right frame.

  • I don't offer revisions. We'll spend our call making sure the inspiration pieces, palette, and size feel right, and then I'll trust my eye to bring it together.

  • Choose any 2-3 pieces from my portfolio, available or sold. They guide the mood, color, and mark-making, and your commission becomes a new original of its own.

  • Additional copies of your digital print, same size or smaller, are available for 3 years after delivery.

  • I love sharing finished commissions on my website and social media. If you'd prefer I keep yours private, share it without identifying details, or wait until after a gift is given, just let me know.

  • The artwork is yours to display and enjoy. I keep the copyright, so the piece can't be reproduced without my permission. Exclusive paintings are never reproduced by me either.

  • You're welcome to cancel at any time. The deposit is non-refundable since it reserves my time and materials. If I ever need to cancel, you'll receive a full refund.

  • Every shipment is insured, and I'll help you file a claim with the carrier.

  • I welcome commissions for businesses, offices, and design client projects. Just note it on the form.

  • Invoices are sent by email and paid securely online by card.
